Maths is Fun by Prof Anant Patki
Anant Patki is a gold medallist from Pune university. He did his further studies at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore with specialization in aerospace engineer. He joined ISRO in its early years and had long and successful career. He was one of the key members of Project Aryabhata, the first Indian satellite launched in 1975. He was associated with various projects starting with Rohini rockets and SLV, lead by Sri APJ Abdul Kalam... His has extensive contribution to India's operational INSAT & IRS series of satellites. He has travelled and visited Russia (then USSR), Europe and United States many time. He was honoured as Outstanding Scientist by ISRO before his retirement. He has invited as Visiting Professor by IIT, Mumbai and by IISc, Bangalore. Post retirement, he lead large groups of engineers in the area of statistics, probability, reliability and life estimation, modelling and simulation, computations, software development, data analysis and GIS, PLM in an IT company doing ITES. He has published over 70 papers and has 5 patents, jointly with his team, to his credit. He has given over 30 popular lectures in various educational institutions. He is a fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering, Maharashtra Academy of Science and many other professional bodies. He is also a recipient of several other recognitions and awards.
