The Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi was released from house arrest in November 2010 and in February 2011 Jesper Bengtsson got a one-to-one interview with her. Indomitably optimistic, she says, "The military gave me seven years of rest, so now I am full of energy to continue my work". Anyone else would have deemed the time wasted. Daw Suu has survived all these years of isolation by embracing it, and picked out the up sides rather than the obvious down sides.
